About Me
I started trapping at the age of 12. From there fishing was a daily endeavor and by the age of 16 I hunted small game every chance I could get. From taking my first red squirrel and rabbit with a Crossman 760 BB gun to owning my first 20 gauge Ithica Featherlite shotgun, which I bought for $120, hunting has played a major role in my life.
I still have the gun, and killed my first whitetail buck, an 8 point, in 1985. Turkey hunting came 2 years later and I killed my first gobbler, a loud gobbling 2 year old with a 9 1/2 inch beard.
I was hooked and never looked back. I only wanted to know more and be in the woods every day of the turkey season. Being only able to take two birds in the spring, I wanted to be out more, so I took all the tests and became a licensed hunting guide, which enabled me to call more gobblers to the gun. I started to make wingbone turkey calls for my friends and family which evolved into what I am doing today!
If not for the love and support of my family, I would not have accomplished any of what I am so proud of today!
